Adelaide

Having spent all my life in Adelaide, it’s interesting to reflect on how my perception of the city has changed. As a kid it was simply the noisy place mum would take us to buy clothes. As a teenager it was an endless playground to roam during school holidays; seeing what kind of mischief my friends and I could get into. Now at 21, it’s still all of those things, but I also find myself enjoying it alone sometimes, as a silent narrator. The camera seems to take the photographer to a different place. Walking the same streets, but facing the other way. It makes the city a new one where every individual, no matter how they feel about themselves- is playing their part, and playing it well.
