James & Daisy

James and Daisy are two dear friends of mine and it was an honour to shoot their big day. James grew up in the Riverland, while Daisy grew up in Adelaide, but it was in the Riverland that they got to know each other. Daisy eventually moved up to there to work with James on his dad’s piggery, and in the words of her brother Max, “out of all the pigs there, she chose James.” James and Daisy are two of the realest people I know, which provides context for Daisy stating “I think these might be cheesy” about 10 minutes into the bridal party shots, before shooing her friends back to the reception. This made me laugh and gave the couple and I plenty of time to gather some candid shots up in the pine trees of the Currant Shed. While everything was on point, from the joy-filled food and flower arrangements by Rosalie Pappas to the light and lovely dress by Alexis George, it was obvious that all the couple cared about was the enjoyment of the present people they loved. It was a wholesome day of laughing, dancing, and finding out just how many people you didn’t know could play drums. Cheers to James and Daisy, and to their new life by the river <3
